The weight you lose comes from water, not fat, which is why the scale drops significantly; but your metabolism slows down, making you more apt to regain weight once you stop. You can also become deficient in crucial minerals like potassium and sodium, which can lead to heart problems.</p>
<p>     Even the celebrities are learning that when it comes to a diet, the healthier, the better, especially when it comes to weight loss. Losing weight does not have to be painful. For successful, safe, genuine weight loss, follow tips like these; most of Hollywood does.</p>

<p>     Healthy eating habits, along with exercise and mental focus, are the keys to successful weight loss. When it comes to your diet, smaller portions of the right kinds of foods are critical; but just what do you eat? Foods that are low in fat, carbs, and sugar, and are high in protein, fiber, and anti-oxidants are what you should be eating if you want to lose significant weight.</p>
<p>     For example: grapefruit. This fruit is well-known for its fat-blocking properties; in fact, studies have shown that people who consume half a grapefruit before a meal are more successful at losing weight. In addition to fighting fat, grapefruit also contains lycopene and liminoids, compounds which fight cancer. Sardines are also great for weight loss because they are high in protein. If you’re like me, though, and don’t like sardines, grass-fed beef and poultry are also good choices, as long as they don’t contain steroids or hormones. Grass-fed beef is rich not only in protein, which boost your metabolism and helps you feel full longer, but also in Omega-3’s, which are good for the cardiovascular system and your mood. Pumpkin, which is high in fiber, is also a good option; and of course, there’s green tea. Abounding in anti-oxidants, it not only boosts your metabolism, it aids in heart health, digestion, and blood sugar regulation.</p>
<p>     If you want to lose weight but still want to eat real food, there are options. The foods mentioned above are only a few choices in a wide range of healthy alternatives that can help you reach your weight loss goal. Many have other healthy benefits as well. All you have to do is find them and enjoy them.</p>
